Cancer and more

Posted by Timothy on April 12, 2013 at 8:50 AM Comments comments (0)

I'll tell you what, life is never dull around this place.  Last month we had court to get the grandbaby back after the oldest boy pulled a dumbshit dick move.  We get things running along smooth again and then last week we found out the results of the wife's biopsy, which came back positive for thyroid cancer.

For a short time we are shutting down the podcast to concentrate on getting things ready for the wife to have surgery.  After the surgery she will have to do the radioactive iodine therapy and be sequestered at the local hotel for a few days.  There is no way in hell that we'd be able to keep the kids at least six feet away from her if she were in the house.  But she wants us to start the show back up so she can join in while stuck at the hotel.

And one good bit of news for this season is that the Zombie Bait! music show will be back in full force this season playing the latest indie music from around the world.

So keep your fingers crosses and stay tuned for updates.

When I first saw this, I thought, "WTF? Spock?"  But after viewing/reading it, it makes a lot of sense.  Very Logical. :P  Here's a link to check it out.

Episode three for this season turned into a free-for-all prank call marathon.  Our guest, Morgan of the Zombie response team had to back out thanks to a bad case of the flu, so we went on a random tangent.

(Maybe we do need to be supervised.)  :)

This weeks guest will be author https://www.facebook.com/sbrooke38?fref=ts" target="_blank">Sara Brooke with Biting Dog Press to talk about her new book.

So here's the latest show and the previous on for your listening enjoyment.

We're back with Season Three!

Posted by Timothy on March 7, 2013 at 1:35 PM Comments comments (0)

We are back for season three!

Yes, I know, I have been horrible the last few months with updating the blog, but life just get's in the way sometimes.

Look for weekly updates on the podcasts and more starting this week.

So to kick off Season three of TDB podcast we interviewed Marvlec, an alternative rock band out of Florida.  Good bunch of kids with a kick ass sound that in my opinion have a chance of making it to the big stage.  We pulled off two prank calls and as always randomness was everywhere.  Including the introduction of our Pubic Minion, Britney.  :)

TDB Podcast S3-E1 (Marvlec)

Along with that, I had managed to fill up our file storage at the end of last season.  This led to the last two shows not being published on the site, (sorry guys).  But they are now up and ready for anyone to check out.

VOTE!!!!!!

Posted by Timothy on November 6, 2012 at 7:30 AM Comments comments (0)

Don't forget to go out and vote today. Your vote can make a difference. And please, don't just blindly vote Democrat or Republican because your parents or grandparents always followed party lines. Look at the candidates and vote for the candidate that is qualified for the job. There are many, many more than just Obama and Romney.

Here is a good list to look at before you go vote today.

So things have been going good.  Got the studio gear finished after months of other chores kicking my ass.  Now I only have to find some cheap/free software for the live 24/7 broadcast.  Ustream isn't bad, but it's annoying as hell and listeners can't see what band/song is playing.

We also have new gear available in the web store.

I would also like to thank all of the guests that we've had the last few months.  I have been horrible about posting and doing promo because of all the other stuff going on, but now that is starting to slow down.

For this Friday we will have a 2nd go around with Justin Manning from Crowned by fire along with the rest of the band.  If all goes well we will have some live tunes by CBF for everyone to bang their heads to.
